Our Story
Founded on a feeling she couldn't shake
Harshita had lived in three continents by the time she moved to Sydney in 2022 at the age of 27, and in every new city, the same feeling followed her. Not homesickness, exactly. Something closer to: I have people around me, but not people who know me.
'Every city I lived in, I told myself it would get easier to make friends. It never did on its own. So I decided to build the thing that would make it easier.'
Most people would've called that normal, but she called it a problem worth solving. So instead of guessing, she went and asked 150+ women, one conversation at a time, about why making real friends as an adult had gotten so hard.
The answers kept circling the same thing: everyone wanted connection, almost no one had an easy way to find it. So in October 2024, ketch-Up was born - built on one simple belief that shared experiences are still the fastest way for strangers to become friends.

A community where no one is left behind

We are a women-only community built to fight social isolation and the loneliness pandemic with one real conversation at a time.
Whether you're new to Sydney or you've lived here your entire life and still haven't found your people, ketch-Up is a space where no one gets left standing on the outside of the community.
Every meetup, every shared meal, every hour spent making something with your hands - it all adds up to the same thing: a stronger, more connected community of women who actually show up for each other.
